PROVINCIAL SYNOD PRAYER WATCH

The Moravian Churches of Ohio are organizing a Prayer Watch for the crucial 2010 Provincial Synod. The Synod of 2010 will be addressing many issues critical to how we do ministry together. Among the issues that are likely to be addressed are 1) The Healthy Congregations document and the implementation of its understandings into the life of our congregations; 2) the manner in which assessments are determined - “an alternative quota system:” 3) Clergy health care and other benefits; 4) Provincial budget; 5) Election of a new Provincial President (Rev. David Wickmann is not eligible for reelection; 6) Ecumenical agreements; 7) Other issues as presented to the Synod by the Mission Teams. A sign-up sheet for the Prayer Watch will be available on the Usher's Table beginning May 23, 2010. Please sign up and make time to pray for our Church, and for the guidance and care of the Holy Spirit during Synod.
